We're thrilled to announce that Good-Loop has been selected as the winner of The Next Big Thing pitch 2017. From over 150 applications, 15 incredible startups competed to make it to the final round, which was pitched on the main stage at ad:tech London on Thursday. Winning this pitch means that Good-Loop's ethical video advertising platform has been selected by Nestlé to run a pilot programme for its KitKat Sustainability Project.
The brief for the $50,000 pilot was to help Nestlé "bring home the benefit and value of our sustainability practices to our farmers, communities and consumers". The FMCG giant also asked for solutions which would enable KitKat to make an even bigger impact and would create a direct link between consumer engagement and social impact.
Our founder & CEO delivered a powerful pitch which demonstrated to the judges how the Good-Loop platform could engage KitKat consumers AND fund even more social impact. Our opt-in ads mean that KitKat can use their existing video advertising to tell the story of the Cocoa Plan. And then their consumers have the chance to donate half the price of the ad towards KitKat's Sustainability Project, selecting the branches of the programme they would most like to contribute. Users can that also double their donation by sharing the ad or by providing their email addresses.
Florence Audoyer, global brand manager, Nestlé said that it was our 'tech-for-good' approach and our passion for the project that swayed the judges, as she presented the award to Amy Williams, our founder and CEO.
