Salary: $200 - $250k p/a (depending on skills and experience) plus 100% OTE commission, and share options

Location: New York, (ideally) with every Tuesday in the office. Or elsewhere in the US, with a monthly visit to NYC.

About the role

At Good-Loop, we count on the executive team to solve complex business problems with creativity and passion, always ready to learn something new. We’re seeking an experienced sales leader to join us in this mission, with a focus on overseeing and optimizing all revenue-generating activities within the company. This role will be critical to our future and Good-Loop’s growth and profitability.

The VP Sales owns the company outlook and builds the well-oiled machine needed to get us there. You will be a pivotal strategic partner to the CEO and will be expected to build a robust commercial strategy, supported by data, insights and operational expertise. We are looking for someone with deep relationships across the industry, a strong desire to build and a passion to do good.


Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

- Lead US and execute global business strategy including sales forecasting and account strategy

- Consistently meet or exceed target.

- Nurture senior c-suite level relationships across key accounts, brands and media agencies. Know Heads of Media / CMOs / brand directors at major advertising, with a focus on CPG, retail, finance, autos and sport.

- Lead on senior-level sales and negotiations - working to a personal as well as a team target.

- Work with our CSO to identify & establish key strategic partnerships.

Team Management

- Inspire and motivate the global sales team to achieve their targets, holding team members to a high standard of excellence and accountability.

- Own ultimate oversight & leadership of the global sales team, including recruitment strategy, recruitment, retention, management, success and personal development.

- Drive better integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions, including marketing, sales, customer support, pricing and revenue management.

- Manage resource planning, spending and allocation within the sales team - including setting and monitoring T&E budgets.

Company & Industry Leadership

- Work closely with the rest of the C-Suite to establish and communicate the mission, ambition and vision for the business.

- Work with COO to optimize team efficiency and performance of the teams through strong operational management across team, process and workflow. This includes revenue management, CRM, cross-functional collaboration and customer success.

- Work with CMO to establish a clearly differentiated and data-driven commercial positioning and go-to-market strategy.

- Contribute to business-critical decisions across the whole organization

- Report to the board on a monthly and quarterly basis, maintaining accurate updates of sales against target

- Maintain a presence within the industry, representing the business globally on stages, in the press and in important rooms. Be a senior figurehead within the business, working with our PR team to secure relevant speaking & commentary opportunities

- Become a trusted and recognised expert in cause marketing, brand purpose, diversity, Good Media and sustainability in advertising - contributing to thought leadership inside & outside of the organization

- Work closely with the CEO to build and maintain an influential customer council / advisory board

Data-driven insight

- Use forecasting strategies by monitoring the sales pipeline and analyzing historical data to understand meaningful trends, risks & opportunities within the business

- Analyze market trends, develop competitive strategies, and collaborate with various departments to optimize pricing, product development, and customer satisfaction.

- Use data and in-depth industry knowledge to identify new opportunities - including new markets, partnerships, products, sales channels & customer segments

- Stay well-connected with customers to ensure market needs are being incorporated into our product development

Identify revenue that’s at risk and develop mitigation strategies


Required Skills

- 7+ years in a leadership role

- Visionary leader who can inspire the team through action

- Proven track record of selling multiple product types, with different revenue models - ideally including media deals and SaaS subscription packages

- Have a demonstrable passion for social impact - at Good-Loop we really do give a shit and we believe in what we sell

- Proven track record in closing complex enterprise-level deals

- In-depth experience related to running revenue organizations - e.g. consulting,

- Corporate Strategy, Business Operations, FPA, Revenue Operations, etc

- Knows Heads of Media / CMOs / brand directors at major advertising, with a focus on CPG, retail, finance, autos and sport.

- Deep and trusted industry relationships across the industry, Brand and client

- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form

- Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

- Proven track record in validating financials and having a data-driven approach to complex revenue-related challenges

- Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity

- Experience defining, planning, and leading strategic initiatives

- Ideally have a proven ability to build diverse and inclusive teams
